"Who would have thought, this pandemic has bought so much magic & wonder into my life!"

When March was present I may have fallen down a huge rabbit hole as I began to research witches after listening to my favourite podcast ladies speak about the Salem Witch Trials.

(Thanks to Ladies & Tangents for piquing my curiosity)

Anyway, I fell in love with ideas created within white witchcraft like divinity tools, meanings behind colours, deities, spells etc. I became a little obsessed and the next thing I knew, I was buying crystals, incense, oils, tarot cards... The list doesn't end!

I began my spiritual journey, I discovered just how intuitive I truly am and my life now feels all the more magical.

But Ruby... If you started this journey in March, why now only speak about it?

Well, I'm glad you asked inner monologue!

Recently I did a tarot card reading. I have been working my butt off this year, focusing on what I can bring into the world and building my social media empire and I wanted guidance to know if I was on the right track.

I received three cards, two highlighted the fact that I was on the right track and I am in the best place I could possibly be right now, which is amazing!

But, to every positive, there has to be a negative. The third card told me that I would have to break away from somebody special in my life, and although this thought makes me a little upset, I know that some people are just a part of the journey and don't stay for the destination.

Overall, I was happy with these results, so I decided to ask the cards about my love life... A single romantic is a bit of a rollercoaster so guidance is what I needed.

Two cards were pulled and I can tell you right now, upon first glance, I was a little worried.

I pulled The Devil & The Hierophant Reversed, Two of the major arcana cards. In my deck by Mystic Mondays, The Devil card represents addiction, enslavement & fears... Ter-ri-FYING!

An excerpt from The Devil card description:

"The Devil alludes to your negative behaviours & patterns that restrain you from moving forward in your life. These are often illusions of imprisonment where you feel shackled to your problems, however, you have the choice to break free or walk away at any point in time."

My first thought after reading the description was "What the hell does this mean?"

So, I grabbed my pendulum, bought up a pendulum board on my phone and started asking questions to try and decipher the answer.

After many, no's & maybe's, I finally received a yes, a yes to "You need to put you, your goals & your work first."

The cards were telling me what I knew but needed to hear.

I am someone who loves, love. I fall in love with someone new each day and for a second, I imagine what life would be like with that person. I am imprisoned by my mind getting lost in what if's, hoping that Mr right will show up soon, but, what I need to remember is, you don't wait around for Mr right, cause if you do that, you end up with Mr wrong by accident... Oops!

My cards were telling me to love myself, break free from the waiting game and focus on making my dreams, goals & plans a reality... Or for short, they were saying...

"Honey, You don't need a man!"

Now, on to The Hierophant Reversed. I felt like I immediately knew the meaning behind this card but I double-checked with my pendulum.

"Let that rebellion roar! You are breaking free from the norm & challenging the status quo."

I think that excerpt is enough to tell you what the cards were saying to me.

"No, you don't need to be married before your thirty, buying a house and having children!"

I am turning 22 this year, thirty is far off but I'm not going to lie, some nights I think "girl you need to find someone soon before it's too late!"

Thank you cards for reminding me that you don't need to adhere to those stereotypical rules.

So all in all, a very empowering pull.

But, I had one more question to ask.

In witchcraft, gods & goddesses can be called upon to be present in answering questions that relate to a particular topic, and as I have a special spot in my heart for Venus & Aphrodite, the Roman & Greek Goddess's of love, I asked to see if one of them were present, assisting me with my questions.

The Pendulum, said yes.

"Is Venus the one here with me now?" I asked.

The Pendulum said no.

"Is Aphrodite the one here with me now?"

The Pendulum said YES!

My heart still races and is filled with joy every time I think about this moment. I was in the presence of a powerful, beautiful deity, who I admire greatly.

To some, this blog is going to sound like I've gone insane, but to others, I hope this write up gives you a spark and magical feeling.

Everyone loves a good Pamper! and with Lockdowns currently in place, now is the perfect time for some regular self-care.

But how should you be treating yourself?

Here are my top at home pamper recommendations!

- Milk & Loose Leaf Tea Bath!

Delicious & Relaxed, I highly recommend a Milk & Loose Leaf Tea Bath! Milk powder can be purchased from any supermarket and you can buy your favourite loose leaf tea for an extra special touch!

Milk Powder will soothe the skin while the loose leaf tea will detoxify & exfoliate. I like to use fruity teas & floral teas for my milk baths and if you really want to enhance the scent, you can always add a few of your favourite essential oils.

For beautiful Loose Leaf Teas, check out Tea Life.

- Peal & Clay Facemasks!

Take care of your skin with a Peal or Clay Facemask by Formula 10.0.6... I may be a little bit addicted to this skincare brand!

Formula has a huge range of masks with each product doing something different for your skin.

Breaking out? Feeling like you need hydration? Formula has you covered!

You can purchase online via their website or find them in-store at your nearest Kmart or Priceline.

- Hamper Pamper!

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself to a hamper and thanks to the wonderful, Hampers with Bite, you can purchase a hamper for as little as $28.

Hampers with bite work with a bunch of Aussie brands, with each hamper purchase supplying a meal for those less fortunate.

So treat yourself today while treating someone else.

- Cheers!

After a long, stressful day, a glass of your favourite drink can make you go from crazy to calm.

If you are someone who gets a little carried away after an emotional, stressful day, I would probably suggest skipping this one but a glass or two of Moscato or Baileys won't hurt as you sock in the tub with your favourite scented candles alight.

- Crystal Healing!

I am a bit of a crystal girl, I know for some, crystals may seem a little airy-fairy but for those who believe in their healing abilities, crystals can provide you with what is needed.

Showing one of my local businesses some love, I highly suggest ordering from Preah Ko as everything is packed and created with love and kindness.

If you are looking to start your crystal journey, I recommend clear quartz as your first as this crystal is the ultimate healer.

From Friday Arrival in a COVID-Free Sydney location to having the whole hotel to ourselves before the Monday Morning hotel closure. You better believe you have never experienced a pageant quite like this!

Last Friday we arrived at our Australian Regency Hotel for the 2021 Recency International Pageant Filming. Our NSW crew were excited for our activities to begin and after a very successful Saturday Optionals Competition... We were ready to perform in our most important section, Sunday Morning.

Saturday night, news came out that the whole of Sydney would be going into a lockdown that night. You can imagine we were pretty terrified and nervous... Would we be able to compete? will we be able to get back to our families?

From about 2 pm - 4 pm on Saturday, our director Kim was making phone calls to NSW Health, our Videographer, Hair & Makeup Team and more. Would this be the end for Team Australia?

After a wait that felt like hours, director Kim returned to the room with tears... followed by a thumbs up. We could film the following day as long as we didn't leave the hotel for non-essential reasons, spectators would have to watch us via Facebook Live instead of in-person and our fabulous production and media team would be able to make us look amazing once again!

We gave our Sunday show all we could give! We rocked it, we nailed it and we made it!

Other than the unexpected restrictions and lockdown, the weekend was absolutely amazing! Our NSW girls really bought the BAM for vegas and so many beautiful, hilarious and exhausting memories were made.

Due to the Official Regency Finals being towards the end of July, our Aussie team are holding off on posting as we all want to live in the moment and present as if we were competing with every contestant in vegas!

So, for now, you will have to wait but that doesn't stop us from thanking our fabulous Team!

I did my own Hair & Makeup but let me just say, The Wye Team made all of our girls look absolutely stunning! If you want to look like a bombshell, go and book with Wye!

Henrietta & Carlos from Motion Mad Media, THANK YOU! for being our incredible videographer team and taking the time to come and record our very special Aussie/International Finals.

Mumma Bear of one of our gorgeous queens was kind enough to take a million photos of our girls and the photos... are FIRE! I can not wait to post them next month.

- BEST DIRECTOR EVER.

THANK YOU to the most incredible Director, Kim, for everything you have done to make this event happen, we can only imagine the stress and tears but we are all extremely grateful for every moment.
